The Founders
Bhutan is more than a destination — it is a feeling, a way of life, and a place that stays with you long after you leave.
We started Acho Travels with a simple dream: to share the Bhutan we know and love, not just the Bhutan you see in a brochure. We have grown up exploring its mountains, trails, villages, culture and people, and found so much joy and meaning in those experiences. Now, we want to share that same feeling and experience with travellers from around the world. We want to create journeys that feel personal, genuine and meaningful. When you travel with Acho, you are not just a guest — we want you to feel welcomed, cared for and connected, just like travelling with an elder brother. Come as a traveller. A team from Bhutan, building Bhutan differently.
Acho Travels was founded by Karma and Kinzang, two friends united by a shared passion for sharing the genuine, authentic experience of Bhutan with travellers from around the world. Karma, from Eastern Bhutan, and Kinzang, from Western Bhutan, are passionate adventure lovers who share a deep love for hiking, trekking, and exploring the beauty of their homeland. Through Acho Travels, they hope to share that same joy, adventure and authentic connection with every traveller who visits.
